Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 心理與諮商學系碩士班 === 96 === The purpose of this research, based on Barkley's Hybrid Model of Executive Function, was to explore the difference of children with ADHD and normal groups on WISC-III.
The ADHD samples were 30 ADHD-C patients (average age: 7.4). The normal group was consisted of 30 students in an elementary school in Taipei County (average age: 7.3).
Major findings were: (1) The results supported the inferences that children with ADHD performed worse than normal group on five subtests (Arithmetic, Digit span, Coding, Picture arrangement, and Object assembly). But their performances were similar on two subtests (Vocabulary and Comprehension). (2) The results didn’t support the inferences that children with ADHD performed worse than normal group on four subtests (Information, Similarities, Picture completion, and Block design). (3) The results supported the inferences that children with ADHD performed worse than normal group on Perceptual Organization Index, and Freedom from Distractibility Index. But their performances were similar on Verbal Comprehension Index.
