Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 自然科學教育學系碩士班 === 96 === The purpose of this study is to research the attitude toward energy and "theme-based teaching of energy" on fourth grade students.They are four classes, 136 students, out of seven classes have been chosen as research objects by purposeful sampling. They are grouping equally as experimental group and control group.
The study planned by quasi-experimental design and carried on two sets of teaching toward energy for five weeks. One is the "theme-based teaching of energy", carried by the experimental group. The other is "general infusion teaching of energy", carried by control group.
There were four questions to solve on this study:
1.To explore significant differences of the attitude toward energy after taking the "theme-based teaching of energy" for experimental group. And to explore significant differences of the attitude toward energy after taking the "general infusion teaching of energy" for control group.
2.To explore significant differences of the attitude toward energy after taking two sets of teaching of energy for experimental group and control group.
3.To explore significant differences of the attitude toward energy from experimental group with different background after taking the "theme-based teaching of energy".
4.To understand the attitude toward the "theme-based teaching of energy" for experimental group.
To solve these questions, quantitative analysis was primarily adopted to form the research, and was derived from related literature; The researcher developed "Attitude toward Energy Questionnaire for Fourth Grade Students" to collect primary data for testing hypothesis. The statistical methods adopted in this study were descriptive statistic (mean and percentage) and inference statistic (t-test and analysis of covariance) to research the attitude toward energy of students; On the other hand, qualitative analysis was adopted to form the research auxiliary, and was derived from related literature. The researcher applied content analysis, (learning sheet, feedback form, interview content, and teacher’s notebook.) to research the attitude toward curriculum of energy of students.
After analyzing the data from the research, conclusions can be drawn as following:
1.There is obvious significant difference after taking the "theme-based teaching of energy" for experimental group. There is significant difference after taking the "general infusion teaching of energy" for control group as well. But experimental group has the better result on the level of progress than control group.
2.There is significant difference after taking two sets of teaching of energy between experimental group and control group.
3.Variable of "sex" as well as "absorbing the knowledge of energy" makes significant difference for experimental group, but the other elements have no significant differences.
4.After taking the "theme-based teaching of energy", the attitude toward teaching of energy brings out the highly likeness, satisfactory, conscientious learning, and striving practice for experimental group.
Finally, according to the result of this study, researcher proposes some suggestions in order to promote energy education for the teachers of elementary school.
