Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 自然科學教育學系碩士班 === 96 === “Science and technology” is one of the important learning fields for Junior High School students. In addition, it is one of the examination subjects in Basic Competence Test (BCT) entering the Senior High School Students. Studies showed that students often have some misunderstandings about the concepts of “acid-base-salt.” The objectives of this study are the correlations and differences between three edition textbooks (2006 Ed.) and the items of BCT (2002~2007) in the topic of “acid-base-salt.” Content analysis was applied in this study. Three categories designed by research were used in the textbooks and the items of BCT.
Results showed that there were some differences from writing and particular stress in different edition textbooks. It showed that the low Pearson's correlation between three textbooks and the items of BCT about “acid-base-salt”, but there are moderate Pearson's correlation between three textbooks and the items of BCT. It shows students performance maybe changed by combining multiple textbooks. Moreover, comparing the order in the cognition of the textbooks and the amount of the item about “acid-base-salt.”
This study takes the correlations between the textbooks and the items of BCT.of “acid-base-salt” for example. It suggests teachers should encourage more researchers to choose better textbooks by profession. It provides assistance for teachers, parents, and students when using textbooks, and offers some suggestion when editing texstbooks.
