The study probes into three aspects of effects and teaching modes, namely: the love and care rendered to children, respect for self and others, and cherishing things. Based on the literature reviews and teaching requirements, “La Papillon”, “The Way Home”, and the “Children of Heaven” are three movies that have life implications and are used as teaching materials. They are used to develop theme-based courses containing three life education contents, namely: love and care, respect for self and others, and cherishing things. The 26 children in the researcher’s class are adopted as study subjects who underwent a 9-week life education course. The researcher engaged in data collections and analytic inductions through the children’s life attitude questionnaire, concept mapping, children’s works, specific behavior observation records, teaching reflections, and the teacher feedbacks. The main study findings are as follows: 1. Implement movie teaching with movie selections that conform to the teaching targets and are suitable for the children’s cognitive development needs and learning interests. Only through adequate movie selection, would the course enhance the children’s understanding of the movie content and convey the implications of life. 2. The briefing before movie showing helps children to focus while watching the movie and understand the background of the movie. 3. The movie guidance during movie watching helps children to understand the complex plots and enhance their sympathetic responses toward the implications of the movie. 4. After movie watching, the open-type question asking helps children to understand the content and significance of the movie 5. The incorporation of movie watching in toddlers’ life education helps enhance the cognition and implementation of children’s life education 6. The teacher uses simple themes that are familiar to children in the first concept mapping demonstration in order to help children to promptly understand the concept mapping mode and significance. 7. When the teacher guides children to sketch the movie plot concept mapping, if the teacher demonstrates and guides the movie plot concept classification first, the children will find concept mapping learning easier. 8. The movie plot concept mapping enhances children’s cognition, comprehension, and memory of the movie plot, and integrates conceptual learning. 9. Experiential activities integrate children’s life experiences and help them to organize their feelings and experiences to internalize appropriate values. 10. Movie teaching, concept mapping, and experimental activity incorporated in children’s life education help the positive development of children’s cognition and implementation based on three aspects, namely: “love and care”, “respect for self and others”, and “love for things.” 11. Through reflections in theory and in practice, the research has constructed a Children’s Life Education Teaching Model with movie teaching incorporated in children’s life education.
