Parents’ identification and participation is the point of success in marine education. This study uses questionnaire to understand parents’ identification and intention to parent-teacher cooperation. This study also explores the difficulties and solution of parent-child marine activities. The research subjects of this study are parents of 4-6 grades in primary schools. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Marine education bases on the environmental education, which improves the people’s traditional concept and attitude to marine through experience of marine activities. Marine education in primary and secondary schools integrates the curriculum praxis into comprehensive areas, and it makes students learn marine knowledge systematically. 2. Family education will affect the overall performance of individual socialization, thus the education attitude and participation of parents is also one of the most important factors to affect the children’s study. The parent and children self-directed learning will replace the future outdoor teaching, hence assist the promotion of marine education and enhance the parent-child relationship as well. 3. For the parents who ever acted as the volunteers for school works or environmental protection, or living in the area with the various maritime resources, their identification degree to the promotion of marine education is comparatively higher; the most identification point for the parents is the intimate and loving ocean to be brought up by the marine education. However, most of them think it will become the children’s burden. 4. For the parents with higher identification degree to the marine education, their willingness to assist the parent-teacher cooperation of relative activities is also higher; the parents with higher education degree, or acted as the volunteers for school works or environmental protection are also willing to participate in the teaching of marine education; the parents are willing to assist their children and arrange the holiday activities by themselves to cooperate with the courses of marine education. However, the willingness is low for arranging the marine teaching environment and assisting to arrange the marine outdoor education activities. 5. More than 60% of the parents are willing to the parent and children self-directed learning of marine education, especially for those above 50 years old, the parents with public employment or the parents unemployed, with above college education degree, ever acted as the volunteers for school works or environmental protection. The parents with lower participation willingness are mainly those with primary school education degree, or the parents with more than 4 children. 6. The main factor to block the parent and children self-directed learning of marine education is no time. The second reasons are no enough ability to support. But, the traffic issue, the safety worries and financial difficulty are fewer. 7. Though there are parents show they do not know the marine education policy well, also do not know how to direct the marine teaching activities, most of the parents still clearly show their support and cooperation willingness to the marine education.
