The humanoid robot is made up by acrylic boards and 19 AI-1001 motors. There is 1 degree-of-freedom for head, 8 for both arms, and 10 for both feet, which are provided by the motors. First, basic movements of the humanoid robot are planned by use of AI motor feedback information through serial communication. And then the vision is added to improve precision and develop and system intelligence. The robot uses wireless devices to receive and transmit the sensing and control information. The robot head is equipped with a wireless CMOS camera for its vision, where the image retrieved is sent to the computer and processed by Borland C ++ Builder software. The computer then uses the wireless communication ZigBee interface to convey the control decision and movement commands for the robot to perform certain tasks. The robot can also communicate via the SMS system of the cellular phones. It refers to remote information retrieval and remote control via the popular platform of GSM from a distant place. Putting sensing devices, micro-controller and cellular phone together in a remote site, one can inquire at any time the physical quantities out there. On the other hand, one can issue commands and order the robot in the remote site to perform certain tasks.
