Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 河海工程學系 === 96 === The reflection of normal incident waves by absorbing-type breakwaters is investigated in this paper. The breakwaters consist of a perforated plate, a porous caisson and an impermeable back wall. A 2-D BEM model is created to calculate the reflection coefficient and wave force of water waves by several properties of the structures. From the numerical results, the wave dissipation effect of permeable structure was found as expected better than that of impermeable structure. The reflection coefficient value implies the performance of wave absorbers in this study. In the cases of horizontal impermeable plate, the larger distance between the perforated plate and water surface makes the larger reflection coefficient and wave force. In the cases of inclined impermeable plate, the reflection coefficient and wave force increased as inclined angle increased. When the inclined impermeable plate changes into curving one, the reflection coefficient and wave force are decreased more effectively.
