Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 體育學系在職進修碩士班 === 96 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between the job satisfaction and organization commitment for PE teachers’ of different educational background. The results would be provided as references and suggestions for schools and educational administration institution to plan educational human resource and evaluate teachers.
The study was conducted through questionnaires and the sample was based on the public and private PE teachers of junior and senior high schools in Taipei City. A total of 810 questionnaires were distributed and the valid returned questionnaires were 670.The valid response rate was 82.7%. The instrument of the study was “PE teachers’ job satisfaction and organization commitment questionnaires in Taipei City,” which comprised job satisfaction and organization commitment sections. In job satisfaction, there were three categories: salaries and welfare, working environment and administration leadership. In organization commitment, there were three categories: the willingness to stay on the job, promise to work hard and organization identification. All valid questionnaires were further analyzed with descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe’s test comparison afterwards.
The important result were described as followings. First, there was significant difference on job satisfaction concerning different administration job title, school types, marital status, ages, and the length of teaching experience. Second, there was significant difference on organization commitment concerning different school types, marital status, ages, and the length of teaching experience. In sum, the present study suggested that future studies could try to enlarge counties and cities all over the country. And the opinions of the PE team leaders or supervisors can be included. More measuring scales can be applied to make the whole study more complete.
