Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 體育學系在職進修碩士班 === 96 === This study aimed at discovering the relation between elderly women’s involvement in morning recreational sports and their health condition. The subjects are female citizens over 65 years of age in Yilan area. A survey questionnaire on elderly women’s involvement in morning recreational sports and their current health condition was designed. 500 questionnaires were sent, with 428 valid ones collected. By implementing descriptive analysis, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’ method, and Pearson product-moment correlation, the research result was derived and listed as follows: 1.Among the women who do regular morning recreational sports, most of them consider themselves healthy. Their ages roughly fall into the range of 65-69. Most of them have primary education background, are housewives, do morning exercise for more than 10 years, are married, and live with their family. 2.Elderly women’s top five attitudes toward morning recreational sports are: It is important to me. It is beneficial to me. It is meaningful to me. It provides a sense of satisfaction. It gives me pleasure.” Among the different aspects of involvement, “self-identity” is the most. 3.Most women think by doing morning recreational sports, they have become healthier in terms of agility, cardiac pulmonary function, a relaxed mood, feeling physically and mentally refreshed, becoming energetic. Among the different aspects of health, physical health is regarded as improving the most. 4.Elderly women’s self-understanding of their health conditions and their education background are related to their involvement of their morning recreational sports. 5.Elderly women’s Self-understanding of their own health conditions is also related to their mental and physical health. 6.Elderly women’s involvement in morning recreational sports is positively correlated to their physical and mental health conditions.
