Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 音樂學系 === 96 === The purpose of this research is to help and understand the forming and the development of the career development among the music enhancement school teachers. The research aims at four areas including “personal traits of teachers” “learning experiences” “working experiences” and “family lives”. The researcher interviewed six current music teachers, and drew the conclusions as follows: 1. “Passion” and “Patience” are considered the most important traits among the interviewed teachers, more so than in general teaching. A teacher’s personal traits also play a big role in teaching attitudes and their viewpoints toward their own further studies. 2. The research concludes, regardless of the varied educational backgrounds, the teachers unanimously agreed that in higher music education of the country, there is much emphasis in the area of music performances. Therefore, these teachers’ specialized areas have none or very little impact in their own career development. 3. In these studies, we find “parents” “students” and “wages” are the most deciding factors in their work. There are also other factors such as “the respect for teachers from the administrative members” “the respect to the professionals” and the “highly commercialized working environments”, can also affect their decisions in making career moves. Their education and academic degrees also play a role in their earning of wages. 4. According to the studies, the “marital factor” is an important consideration in the planning of careers among both single and married teachers. The marital and family conditions have great influences on their career development. 5. Many factors affect one another. They form a cycle in the development of these teachers’ careers. Some factors are influenced by others, either through time, or through the interplay of many different factors. In conclusion, the researcher made suggestions to people who are interested in this career, and offers as references for the career-minded teachers, the administrative departments, and to further studies of this research as well.
