Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教管所學校行政組(碩士班) === 96 === The purpose of this study is to explore the administrative difficulties and coping strategies for elementary school directors of General affairs. For achieving the purpose, an anonymously open questionnaire was mailed to 148 elementary school directors of general affairs in Kaohsiung County and 93 were returned to collect data. Research findings indicate that the administrative difficulties come from 17 dimensions, and the chiefly parts were construction and repair works, property management, finance management, human resource management and etc. Each dimension includes various concrete difficulties. The adapted activities for each difficulty are diverse, and many can be classified into positive and a few are negative adaptation. When experiencing difficult situation, the directors of General affairs would adapt five coping strategies. They are facing and solving problems, seeking resources or others’ help, improving professional skills, self- accommodation and psychological development, taking things as they are and compromising with reality. Based on the findings, the chiefly suggestions are proposed: 1. Realize the duty and role of directors of General affairs to improve the capacity of General affairs. 2. Realize the difficult and coping strategies to improve the performance. 3. Participate in research or activity of professional skills to improve the competence of construction for repair works and property management. 4. Reflect the working attitude and approach and exchange experiences to improve the ability of General affairs. 5. Popularize the idea of transforming repair work into curriculum and develop school-based curriculum to improve the value of General affairs 6. Establish experts consulting team of school General affairs and develop e-manage software to improve the efficiency of General affairs. 7. Invite experts to publish the findings of their research and absorb the new knowledge, opinions and experiences to magnify the power of knowledge management.
