The study implement the investigation and research to 397 children of the new female immigrants in Penghu County elementary school by self-edited “Local Knowledge Scale” and “Local Recognition Scale”, and to draw out 10 students for individual interview to further realize their viewpoint and opinion to “local knowledge” and “local recognition. After statistics and analysis, the research conclusions are as the followings: I. As for overall local knowledge, the new female immigrants’ children of Penghu County elementary school possess general level of local knowledge and great local recognition. II. As for the differences of local knowledge caused by different background, the result of the “Indigenous Knowledge Scale”questionnaires showed that there were significant distinctions among different grades and students’ school located area. III. The result of the “Local Recognition Scale” questionnaires showed that there were significant distinctions only different grades. IV. Students’ local knowledge and local recognition achieve remarkably positive correlation. Offer related suggestion to the founders, executives and the researchers of local education policy as the reference of implement local education and follow-up research by the research results.
