Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 教育學系輔導教學碩士班(到96學年度上止) === 96 === The aims of the study were to investigate the effects on group art therapy for single- parent children in 5 and 6 grades on immediate effect and follow-up effect, also to discuss the changes of emotional competence. The study employed experimental-control group and pre- post experimental design. The participants were 16 single-parent children in 5 and 6 grades, assigned randomly to two groups, leading by researcher. Experimental group received the treatment one hour a time, twice a week, sixteen times totally. The data collected by the Scale of Emotional Competence for Primary Students and the Scale of Emotional Adaptation for Primary Students. One-way covariance analysis was utilized for statistical testing. The progress records, sessions’ and the final feedback shits, the works, self-evaluation scales, homework shits etc. were concerned. Three major findings were: (1)Group art therapy were significant in immediate effect for single-parent children in 5 and 6grades on emotional abilities and emotional adaptation. (2)Group art therapy were significant in follow up effect for single-parent children in 5 and 6 grades on emotional abilities and emotional adaptation partly. (3)Portfolio evidences showed that the positive feedback, and through the activities participants revealed unconscious thoughts in the safe surroundings. Besides, the creating activities brought positive effects on improving mental health of participants. Finally, several suggestions were recommendated for the further studies.
