Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 美術學系碩士班(93學年度~) === 96 === This thesis mainly discusses the self creation process between 2003 to 2007, as well as analyzes the self creation through thoughts of French philosopher Merleau Ponty. Merleau Ponty’s early existentialism later changed to ontology in which the connection between oneself and others is proved by others’ existence. The ultimate narcissism has a close connection with self creation. In the process of self creation, others’ outside image is changed to the perception of self inside space, self body is reflected by others’ bodies, soft brush replaces steel ball pen as painting tool to realize the artistic creation, and the deep personal inside thought is embodied through direct painting creative activities. Structure and contents of this thesis: Chapter 1 Prolegomena: Motivation, purposes, research method & scope and structure of the research. Chapter 2: Discussion related to Merleau Ponty’s phenomenology concerning changing from behavior structure to body perception. Chapter 3: Through Merleau Ponty’s concept of bodily perception to Prove self bodily perception. Chapter 4: Study the change of self creation based on others’ bodies to self body, and the medium use & explanation of works. Chapter 5: State the research process of creation, and draw conclusion for self reflection in future development.
