The breeding of insects for crops is easily happened at high temperature and humid areas. It is important for farmers in the high density farm to use high dosages of pesticides. The detection of pesticide residues in foods usually need expensive instruments such as gas chromatography or high performance liquid chromatography. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a small, cheap, easily to handle and able to provide reliable information biosensor that can be used in real-time and in situ analysis. In this study, we developed a AChE-based biosensor with fluid channel using the Ellman’s reagents. Results show that three pesticides: profenofos, carbofuran, and chlorpyrifos have different sensitivity toward AChE biosensors. The limit of detection were 200, 0.5, 0.025 ppm respectively . The analytical range were large than one order of magnitude for these pesticides. Furthermore, the results obtained from biosensor method were compared with the Rapid Bioassay for Pesticide Residues(RBPR) to understand the analytical performance of the biosensors. The performance of this biosensor was similar to RBPR. In addition, results of long-term stability show that the inhibition response has no obviously change after 4 week of storage.
