Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 教育學系 === 96 === The purposes of this study were to understand current situations and their relationships of emotion management and school effectiveness of principals of elementary schools. In addition, the differences between principals’ population variables and school environments variables of principals’ emotion management and school effectiveness were discussed. Moreover, the differences among various degrees of emotion managements of principals’ school effectiveness were understood. In the meanwhile, prediction variables and their influential factors were analyzed. Besides, via questionnaires, 281 principals randomly selected from 281 public elementary schools in Taichung city, Taichung county, Changhua county, and Nantou county as subjects. And there were two kinds of questionnaires, including “Principals’ Emotion Management Scales” and “School Effectiveness Scales”. Furthermore, frequencies mean, standard deviation, descriptive statistic, t-test, one-way ANOVA, MANOVA, and multiple stepwise regressions were used to analyze results of questionnaires. Based on findings of this study, six conclusions were proposed as following: 1. Principals in elementary school possessed good competencies of principals’ emotion management. 2. School efficacies which principals in elementary school perceive are good. 3. In terms of principals’ population variables, there were significant differences existed on principals’ emotion managements and school effectiveness awareness. 4. In terms of schools’ environment variables, there were significant differences existed among principals’ school history, seniority, and the effectiveness of planning environmental equipments and school effectiveness awareness. 5. The significant differences existed among competencies of principals’ emotion managements on school effectiveness awareness of elementary school principals. 6. Emotional adaptation strategies of principals and were significant predictors for school effectiveness in elementary schools. Finally, according to above conclusions, there were seven suggestions were recommended as references for educational administrative authorities while dealing with the school affairs.
