In order to achieve the purposes, this study was conducted through qualitative research, such as observation, interview, and document analysis. The findings of the study were concluded as the following: 1. Young children’s reading should go with their body and mental development; besides, it should become a daily routine at home. 2. We should choose books for young children according to their development and life experience. 3. Teachers and parents have positive attitude toward young children’s reading activities. They expect more chances and sources of joint book reading of parents with infants and toddlers. 4. Although there are some differences on young children’s reading effects, young children do have progress on their concentration, language acquisition and so on. 5. The reading promotion of young children is successful and continuing. The teachers would like to understand young children’s cognitions and learning abilities more. They also welcome more volunteers to join them and share their experiences and ideas. And the parents hope there would be more reading activities held, libraries set, gift books sent, and paid parental leave given. Based on the conclusion above, we would like to provide suggestions for Taipei Public Libraries, the reading house, teachers, parents, governmental administration agencies, and future researchers.
