The prevalence of computer and Internet make e-learning become an important tendency in education. Moreover, the ultimate goal of information literacy is to cultivate the individual into a lifelong learner with quality information. This research was to discuss the distinction in the e-learning situation for the usage frequency, e-learning platform attitude and information literacy of National Taichung University students. The research utilized questionnaire and assisted with interview, including three juniors from National Taichung University as research objects. A total of 549 questionnaires were returned to the researcher, resulting in 536 usable for further analysis. Data were analyzed by percentage frequency, t-test, ANOVA and product-moment correlation, as well as other statistical methods. Then, six students’ interviews were made into records, to correspond the interview content and quantification. Although this research found the e-learning of National Taichung University students’ usage rate to be low, the students have good e-learning attitude and the ability of information literacy. Meanwhile, students of a different college have dissimilarity of the purposes of connecting to the internet, with divergent purposes in using e-learning platform. Students in different colleges, number of curriculums in e-learning and dissimilarity of the purposes of connecting to the internet were divergent in e-learning attitudes. Students of different sex, colleges, and number of curriculums in e-learning with dissimilarity of the purposes of connecting to the internet were divergence in information literacy. Students’ e-learning attitude and information literacy were somewhat related. According to the major findings and conclusions of this study, recommendations were made for the National Taichung University e-learning platform, students’ e-learning attitudes, information literacy of students and follow-up research.
