It not only made people have more confidence but also obtain more favors and respect in career or in social intercourse. Thus, more and more consumers were willing to spend much money on body care, such as weight-loss, body-build and exercise. They are often feminine. This study of focused on feminine who dissatisfied with their body and they have been keeping working out three months. In order to realize deeply the feeling of interviewers, the qualitative in-depth interview has been employed as the key method. Through the interviewers shared their self-experience, exploring the further faith and getting internal, private perspectives. The theory based on feminism in the study. The purposes of study were to realize the difference between perfection and actuality of body image, and understand the real meaning that feminine improved body image. There are three discoveries resulting from this research:
1.According to different degrees, it can be divided into three body figure images--actual, ideal, and desirable. There is still a distance between woman’s ideal body image and her actual body image. Besides, the distance is getting longer by the spread of the mass media and the influence of the public.
2.Because women think that exercise results in good body figures, they try to make their body shape prettier by exercising. Therefore, exercise represents a method of sculpturing a good body image.
3.Because of the beautiful standard from the values of the patriarchy system, women try to reform their body images and make this ideology becomes part of them. After all, it is the most smooth way to make women live peacefully in this kind of system.
