Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣體育學院 === 體育研究所 === 96 ===   The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of Dance Teaching in the Grade 1- 9 curriculum at Elementary school level in Taichung County. By using a questionnaire survey , 165 public primary schools were investigated and 43 dance teachers and administrators were interviewed. The analysis of descriptive Statistics, One-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s Method. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. The dancing teachers don’t have lots of experience or time to prepare lessons, so they depend on the teacher's manuals from the Instructional Design of Dancing. 2. The bigger problem is that the dancing teachers don’t have much dancing knowledge of dancing courses. 3. There are many fields and areas where teachers can further improve their ability. 4. Most Elementary schools don’t have lots of administrative supports for teaching dance. 5. There has been little or no difference in dance instruction in Taichung County Elementary schools. 6. There has been little or no difference for administrative support of dance instruction in Taichung County Elementary Schools.
