The assessment scale of this study is based on domestic and foreign scholars questionary of physical education. This assessment scale consists of two parts. The first one is personal data, and the other is the evaluation items and component factors of high-grade physical teaching. Personal data consists of several variables, including gender, seniority of teaching, teaching school, the academic background. The scale is composed of thirty-five questions for evaluation items and five effective factors which are fun, learning effects, teaching methods, learning environment and cooperation. The subjects of this study are physical education teachers in twenty-eight public senior high schools and survey research of quantitative methods is applied to this study. There are 206 samples and 175 of those are effective. The software SPSS for Window is applied to analyze the data, and the α value 0.05 is used for statistic test. The results of this study are as below: 1. Of thirty-five evaluation-item questions, the item “fun1” scores most (4.543), and the last goes for “learning effects” (4.194). All of those items average above 4. Therefore, we can say that physical education teachers of Taipei Municipal senior high school consider those thirty-five questions for evaluation items appropriate. 2. The order of component factors which were applied in high-grade physical teaching are cooperation, learning environment, teaching methods, fun, learning effects, and the total average score is 4.340. According to the result, we can say that physical education teachers think those component factors of high-grade physical teaching appropriate. 3. When variable “gender” is applied to analyze the teaching factors of high-grade physical education teaching, it resulted in significant difference. Thus we can say that female teachers place much more emphasis on cooperation then male ones. There is no significance difference in other effective factors.
