Summary: | 碩士 === 國立台北護理學院 === 生死教育與輔導研究所 === 96 === The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of the self-management of diabetes patient through telephone counseling with solution-focused brief therapy. The method of this study is quasi-experimental design and a total of 109 diabetes mellitus are recruited from 4 health centers in Taipei city, 60 female 49 men, average 65.71 years old, average 9.57 years of sickness. The study period is from March 2008 through June 2008. The study divided into: pre-study, continuous 12 weeks solution-focused brief therapy with weekly telephone counseling, post-study. Study instruments used in collected data which is including:(1)physical examination;(2)the Chinese version of the Diabetes Management Self-Efficacy Scale;(3)the Taiwan version of WHOQOL-BREF Scale. The collected data is analyzed by mean, standard deviation, percentage, independent- samples t-test from SPSS 14.0 statistical analysis. As a whole, the result will be addressed as following points:
1. The partial physical examination with obviously improving effects:the mean of waistline(p=.005);the mean of systolic pressure (p=.007); the mean of AC blood sugar (p=.005)of the intervention group is obviously lower.
2.The diabetes patients self-efficacy management has obviously improving effects:the mean of self-efficacy(p=.006);of the intervention group is obviously better than the control group, the mean of nutrition(p=.006);the mean of medical treatment(p=.013);the mean of physical exercise and weight(p=.013);the confident of the intervention group is obviously more than the control group.
3.Quality of life with obvious improving effects:the mean of social relationship (p=.014) ;the mean of the environment (p=.003);the satisfaction of the intervention group is obviously better than the control group. .
4.According the study result recommending : emphasizing solution-focused brieftherapy with telephone counseling and practice it in the community care, empower diabetes patients become their own main care-taker, practice self-care with health self-management concepts, improve and maintain the quality of life of diabetes.
