Lastly, Triple Play services, with a minimum of three TV channels, several VoIP connections, and sufficient speed for Internet access, require high data rates of at least 30 – 40 Mbit/s, about twice of what can be achieved under real field conditions with today’s ADSL2+ solutions. VDSL2 was developed and standardized in record time to address the shortcomings of existing access technologies.
