As innovations come from their customers’ demands, companies should engage in virtual knowledge communities (Virtual Knowledge Community, VKC) to keep contacts with their customers. People’s stay on a VKC depends on performance of the VKC. Every company who wants to keep their VKC members to get more innovation sources must concern about their VKC’s performance. There are few studies focusing on VKC performance evaluation in the literatures. In this study, the four dimension viewpoint of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) was used to develop VKC performance indicators. A survey which gathered 711 available samples was conducted. After the quality certification and confirmatory factor analysis of the measurement model, it showed that the reliability and validity of the scales are all fine. The model fit indexes also showed a good fitness between sample and model. The result of this study not only reveals that BSC is suitable for VKC, but also proposes a list of performance indicators for VKC. These indicators can be applied to suggest road maps for VKC managers; they can further be developed into a performance evaluation instrument too. Jeng Jing-Hwa 鄭景華 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 99 zh-TW
