碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 視覺藝術學系 === 96 === The subjects of this study include 3 to 6 grade elementary school students of a primary school in Pingtung, to investigate their gender concepts of cartoon images. First of all, the images for the investigation were chosen through content analysis. And then reseacher adopts cross-section method to do the research. The mainly findings of this study come to these conclusions: 1. Cartoons on televiosion have significant influences in elementary school students. 2 Images are efficient instruments for students’ learning. 3. Gender counter-stereotype of gender concepts in visual images would be the center of further study. 4. Different attributes of elementary school students have divergent gender concepts toward cartoon images. 5. Elementary school students have different points of view to various aspects of gender concepts on cartoon images 6. Gender counter-stereotype of gender concepts are accepted by elementary school students. Based on the findings and results of the investigation, the reseacher proposes some suggestions to visual art education and gender education on cartoon images, and in addition gives some advice for further investigation.
