Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 教育行政研究所 === 96 === This is a study of an elementary school principal, Mr. Chen, using the methods of in-depth interview, observation, and documentary analysis to understand his life story and his viewpoint about the aboriginal education. The concerns of the principal Chen is discovered as follows: i) The economical problem affects the aborigines deeply, including education. ii) The education outside of the school is out of its action. iii) There are differences between the educational policy and the expectations of the aborigines. iv) The broken education incommodes to the continuing study or occupational opportunities of the aboriginal students. v) The importance of the ethnic education to the aboriginal students and the aborigines is undoubtedly. vi) The aboriginal teachers can play the main role in the aboriginal education. Above all, the researcher proposes the following suggestions: i) The teacher training policy of aboriginal teacher must have continuity and regularity. ii) The economical mode and the economical bounty of aboriginal area must be adjusted. iii) The family education, social education, and school education must take the same responsibilities to maintain the development of the aboriginal children. iv) Use the talent and the power of the tribe effectively. v) Deal with the problem of autonomy politic carefully. Education is an important way to protect, develop, and communicate the culture. The only way to make all races to survive in this world is to let the education expand soundly.
