In order to probe into the purpose, reading and organizing literature is the first step. Then, means of questionnaires was adopted to collect data and research. The research tool used during this study is “Questionnaire of servant leadership of elementary school principals and teachers’ teaching efficiency”. The objects of this study are the elementary school teachers who have the formal qualification and really serve the school jobs in Kaousiung County. In principle, layered random sampling was used. According to the result, there were 78 schools surveyed which includes 607 elementary school teachers and 450 valid questionnaires were returned. The returned surveys were statistically compiled and analyzed by mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation . The major conclusions of the study are as follows: 1. Most of elementary school principals perform well in servant leadership . 2. The deepest feeling of teachers about principals servant leadership is “sincere service”, and the “concern the subordinate with likewise heart” is least used. 3. Elementary school teachers who are part-time directors have stronger perception about the servant leadership of principals than teachers who are pure teachers or part-time section chief. 4. Female teachers’ teaching efficiency is better than male teachers; the teachers above 51 have better performance in teaching efficiency than the teachers under 30. 5. The teachers who serve over 21 years have better performance in teaching efficiency than the teachers who serve under 5 years. 6. The servant leadership of elementary school principals and teachers’ teaching efficiency are obvious and positively related to each other. 7. The overall servant leadership of elementary school principals has a significant explanative power on the teachers’ teaching efficiency;the researcher also found that “inspiring staffs” and “asking myself to do the best” own the largest explanative power to teacher’s teaching efficiency.
