This study adopts narrative research and collects all necessary materials by timeline through in-depth interviews. And used narrative analysis—Holistic-Content Perspective—for data analysis. The primary findings are as follows: I. The career development process of epilepsy patients: (a)the childhood stage, (b)the learning and exploration stage, (c)the illness adjustment stage, (d)the occupational career stage, (e)the marriage and motherhood stage, (f)the community life stage. In each career stage, epilepsy patients must play different roles and have different challenges to overcome. II. The main factors affecting epilepsy patients’ career developments include: i. The microsystem factors:(a)parent openly breeding attitude, (b)acceptance attitude from family, (c)the care from teacher, (d)the keep with and acceptance from peer, (e)mentor in the work place, (f)support of the epilepsy patient association. ii. The mesosystem factors:(a)father provides help to get a job, (b) The support strength of the job from marriage family. iii. The exosystem factors:(a)father‘s interpersonal relationship, (b)mother’s work place. iv. The macrosystem factors:(a)the stigma of epilepsy.
