The tonality development drove the music creation techniques into a peak. To extricate the influence of the Romanticism, these musicians created new music language. The musicians of Impressionism leading by the French separated themselves from affection, pursued sound and tone-color as a goal toward the new orientation of reformation. They utilized variety of experimental techniques and expended the expression of tones against the massive and magnificent instrumentation of Romanticism. On the other hand, they fully utilized any scales and modes freely, explored new colors of music and displayed unconstraint movements in utilizing rhythms. Maurice Ravel was treated as the inheritor and reformer of the Impressionism and the universally admit orchestrator. His creation techniques demonstrate multivariate and reserved style and magnificent orchestration. Moreover, the ballet music of Daphnis et Chloé was recognized the representative works in his maturity period. Since the theme and orchestration are the indexes of formation of music works, I focus on these two indexes. The other related elements of music formation would not to be discussed at this thesis. This research belongs to a qualitative research. In addition to the introduction and conclusion of this thesis, the text includes three main research orientations. In cheaper II, I would like to utilize the diverse creation stages and music styles to understand the variety of creative themes of Ravel in more detail. In cheaper III, I would like to itemize creation background, main cost, plot outline and motivation of ballet music to depict the basic foundation of ballet music. In cheaper IV, I would like to progressively analyze the relations of scenario and features theme and the created unique orchestrations related to the narrative of notation.
