A Survey Study on the Concert Band Training of the Junior High School in Taoyuan、Hsinchu and Miaoli Region

碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 音樂學系 === 96 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the training of concert band of the junior high school. The study explored the opinions and difficulties of teachers who have trained concert band, and then explored the difference among training difficulties with different conditions and the difference among teacher’s management with different backgrounds. In order to achieve the goal of this study, the data were gathered using a questionnaire, “the study of the training of concert band of the junior high school in Taoyuan、Hsinchu and Miaoli region”, designed by the investigator specifically for the study. The subjects were junior high school concert band-related teachers in Taoyuan、Hsinchu and Miaoli region. A total of 98 junior high school concert band-related teachers completed the questionnaires. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to compute the frequency distribution、percentage、mean、standard deviation、t-test、Kruskal-Wallis one-way analysis of variance ranks and one-way ANOVA. Six major conclusions were: 1.Developing a concert band needs to assess carefully and formulate amply. 2.Except for teacher’s professed ability, there are many difficulties in training process to be conquered. 3.Concert band teachers should reinforce communication with administrative unit in school and gene arch. 4.Authority of school should seek funding in many ways and employ resource of parent-teacher association and alumni association properly. 5.There are still urban-rural difference in the concert band of the junior high school in Taoyuan、Hsinchu and Miaoli region at present. 6.Although there are many obstacles in training concert band, it has educational value and is worth to be conquered and boosted effectively. Finally, there were more suggestions for further researches.
