The female images are the feeling and evaluation on the combination of outer image and inner world. Taiwanese proverbs which have spread for a long time are the accumulation of wisdom and experience. Furthermore, the proverb which is a kind of folk culture attaching to the mother tongue can also reflect the life and thought of the traditional women. Therefore, the study chooses the traditional women to do the research, and wants to explore the female images and the culture meanings in Taiwanese proverbs. The article is divided into five chapters. Chapter one is an introduction describing the motivation, purpose, method, and range of this study. After that, other chapters begin to discuss the female images in Taiwanese proverbs, and the contents include three main points. Chapter two discusses the point of primary family and marriage. By researching the women’s main roles in their whole life, we can know about the education, standard, and expectation given to the women by the primary family. When they get into marriage life, we can also observe the interaction and the personal management in the relationship. After that, we can not only understand the women’s philosophy of life and handling method under oppression, but describe the female images in the primary family and marriage. Chapter three discusses the point of social phenomenon. By researching the criticism of virtue and moral, we can analyse the women’s situation of losing virtue, the punishment of affair, and the disdain of being prostitutes. After that, we can not only understand the women’s sufferings under the criticism of the public opinion, but describe the female images in the social phenomenon. Chapter four discusses the point of culture and customs. By researching the ceremony of life and the customs of fortune-telling, we can analyse the women’s situation of variable marriage, the lowly position of funeral, and the meanings of fortune-telling. After that, we can not only understand the women’s limitation of ceremony and destiny, but describe the female images in the culture and customs. Lastly, by taking “women’s belonging” to be the center of the article, chapter five not only makes a systematical connection with the female images in the three main points, but makes a conclusion about the female images in Taiwanese proverbs. Moreover, we’d like to encourage the contemporary women to pursue the self-achievement, and create a whole space belonging to themselves. Chun-lung Chiang 江俊龍 學位論文 ; thesis 177 zh-TW |
