碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 性別教育研究所 === 96 === This study analyzed the friendship of girl students from the view of gender by using comprehensive interview with nine girls of elementary school six graders to display the interaction experience. Furthermore, by the results of the analysis, we attempted to make recommendations to the teachers of six graders and the curriculum. The study revealed that girls often associated and communicated with old friends. As close friendship developed, they got along with each other with the form of small group interaction and produced strong sense of belongingness to the groups. Though owning good relationship with close friends, several girl students still had scruple if conflict with their close friends. Frequently, they had no idea how to communicate with their close friends. Otherwise, the girls had a characteristic as they had a tendency towards believing the rumor without verification and influenced their friendship. This study proved the theory of Nancy Chodorow that girl students expect to keep good friendship with their close friends continually unless severe conflicts occurred. As for the conflict situation, it presented Gilligan's feminine ethic of care, revealing the influence of social culture in girls.
