碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 輔導與諮商研究所 === 96 === The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships among career decision making style, personality, and career maturity of 567 university students in kaohsiung city, kaohsiung county, and pintung county. The measure instruments used in this study were Career Maturity Inventory, Personality Scale, and Career Decision Making Style Scale. Data obtained was analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA , Pearson’s productmoment correlation and canonical correlation analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows: University students have positive attitude toward career. There were significant differences in career maturity of the different gender, work experience and type of school. Female university students have more positive attitude toward career than male. Public school students have more positive attitude toward career than private school students. There were significant differences in career decision making style. Rational decision making style student was more career maturity than intuitive decision making style student and dependent decision making style student. The higher openness, conscientiousness, extraversion and agreeableness a student has, the higher career maturity he or she has. There were significant canonical factors between career decision making style, personality and career maturity. Based on the discovery of this research, implication of the study for counseling and guidance of adolescence and suggestion for the future research were proposed as well.
