碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 輔導與諮商研究所 === 96 === Career Decision-Making of Mei-Nong Comic Energy Healers Hsieh, Hui-Hsien Abstract This research aims to discuss the experience and the influencing factors of the alternative healer's career decision-making process, including the self-adjustment process during the aspect of anticipation fo preoccupation, exploraiton, crystallization, choice, clarification, and induction, reformation, and integration of the aspect of implentation or accomindation. This narrative research, via the recommendation of cosmic energy alternative healer, invited 3 cosmic energy alternative healers experienced in solving problems of their believers. A semi-structured in-depth interview for 1-2 hours was performed twice to three times for each cosmic energy alternative healer, with a total of 14 hours of interview time. At the end, the collected data was analyzed with categorical-content perspective. The results were: 1. cosmic energy alternative healer's career decision process basiclaly folloed the stages of Career Decision Making: An Individualistic Perspective.His or her reformation and integration stages could exist at the same time, and did not have a clear cut time difference. 2. The 2 cosmic energy alternative healers with the ideology of saving the world are involuntary in career making, because they chose their career path under the guidance of gods. Therefore, they entered the field without a full grasp of the required knowledge, and often worked and explored the nature of their work at the same time. If they failed to follow the gods' guidance, difficulties in physical or occupational functions were bound to happen. They must follow the gods' guidance to order to have a smooth life. 3. These 2 cosmic energy alternative healer would follow the common reality of their early family experience as the basis of their career deicion. When the individual encountered a key theme regarding self, he or she would go through differentiation and integration to obtain a new personal reality to continue his career decision. When the individual's ideology was saving the world, the personal reality in his or her ego as well as current personal reality would influence the 2 cosmic energy alternative healers' decision-making behavior, and common reality would become fragile, but the individual would still attempt to integrate his or her early family experience and the personal reality in the current stage. The cosmic energy alternative healer without the ideology to save the world would be influenced by early common reality, but based his career making decision mainly on his or her own personality reality. 4. Cosmic energy alternative healers could stimulate their deep personal reality with meditation, to solve their own or their followers' problems. 5. For the influence factors of career decision making of cosmic energy alternative healers, the supportive factors included: deep personal reality, need to solve physical problems, growth or being needs, successful experience, interests, and the search of truth, altruism, self-actualization, and personal values; the resistant factods included social stigma, poor performance in the work, low acceptance of family, low social value, deep self-reality challenge. Therefore, self-accomodation is an important process of cosmic energy alternative healers. 6. Cosmic energy alternative healers used individual ideology and the influence from "spirit world" to interpret the existence of physical illness and occupational difficulty. Such beliefs fit into the occupational value based on faith in gods. 7. Cosmic energy alternative healers accomondate their stigma with methods including a low profile, not to disclose the nature of their works, using coincidence as a cover, not to argue, and/or packaging their own work as a religious conselors. Our research would make suggestions for the future of consultation based on above results. Keywords：career decision making, alternative healers, narrative research
