Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 資訊教育研究所 === 96 === Internet addiction had already become a serious issue for human beings from Internet generation to deal with. The influence of Internet addiction was not limited to individual living disorder, but several kinds of social problems. Comprehensively view the relevant researches of Internet addiction at home and abroad, it was clear that they identically adopted quantification approaches (Cheng-Cheng Yang, 2003). As a result, this research adopted the Zaltman Metaphor Elicitation Technique (ZMET) to conduct in-depth interview with cases of high involvement. Through establishing and analyzing their individual mind map, this research could not only understand the problems of adaptation for Internet addictors, but also realized the causes behind each problems, with hopes to provide more useful information on preventing Internet addiction.
Study results: 1.The highest rates of adults’ serious internet addiction are: area from northern Taiwan, ages between 20 and 30, and male users in gender. 2.The influences of internet addiction to adults’ life are: (1)personal adaption: time management, health, thinking and behavior, emotional reflectional, consumption and career plan. (2)family’s adaption: family members’ interaction and house affairs. (3)social adaption: working performance, leisur activities and relationship with people.
Referring to the research results, the author recommends that appropriate consulting strategy should be established according to the causes of indulgence of the subjects for helping them, cultivating other skills of recreation, and encouraging them to participate in outdoor activity. The cognitive therapy collocated with information retrieved from ZMET, appropriate intervention of family and conduction of pubic authorities may also help in consulting work and make improvements on the subjects.
As for the direction of research in the future, it is recommended to cooperate with relevant medical or social organizations, to seek for more adequate subjects, or integrates with quantitative research or other qualitative research, to deepen the scope of research.
