Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 教育學系 === 96 === A Study on the Relationships among Parenting Styles, Life Adjustment and Subjective Well-being of the Fifth and Sixth Graders Abstract The main purpose of this study was to explore the Relationships among parenting styles life adjustment and subjective well-being of the fifth and sixth graders. The research method this study adopted is survey research. The 1192 valid samples were selected from 19 public elementary schools in Kaohsiung city.They responded to a set of questionnaires consisting of four parts: student’s essential data, parenting styles scale, life adjustment and Subjective Well-being behavior. The statistical methods used to analyze the data were descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s Product-moment correlation, and multiple-stepwise regression analysis. The main findings of this study were summarized as follows: 1. The fifth and sixth graders perceived that mother’s responses and requests were more than father’s. 2. The fifth and sixth graders lived with parents had well life adjustment. And the best life adjustment is family adjustment. 3. The fifth and sixth graders well-being was above the middle degree. 4. There were significant differences in parenting styles of the fifth and sixth graders based on genders, the number of children, family types and socioeconomic status. 5. There were significant differences in life adjustment of the fifth eand sixth graders based on genders, family types and socioeconomic status. 6. There were significant differences in well-being of the fifth and sixth graders based on genders, family types and socioeconomic status. 7. Children whose parents adopted the life adjustment of authoritative-reciprocal showed higher well-being behavior than others. 8. There were significant positive correlations between life adjustment and well-being. There were significant positive correlations between parenting styles and well-being. 9. Parenting styles and life adjustment could effectively predict well-being of the fifth and sixth graders. Last but not lest, provide this study as reference for family education organizations, school guidance, the related government apparatus, and the future study.
