Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 教育學系 === 96 === The purposes of this study were to investigate the current states of elementary school students’ internet addiction, conformity and human relationship and further to probe their associations. A survey research was conducted with questionnaires. The subjects totaled 772 students for this study were sampled from the public elementary schools in Kaohsiung City during 2005-2006 academic years. By analyzing the data with descriptive statistics, one-way MANOVA, Two-way MANOVA, product-moment correlation, canonical correlation, and multiple regression, the researcher made the following conclusions: 1. Elementary school students had a lower tendency toward internet addiction. 2. Male students had more serious internet addiction problems than female students. 3. The sixth grade students had more serious internet addiction problems than the fifth grade students. 4. Elementary school students scored higher points on the whole measurement of conformity. 5. Female students had a higher tendency toward conformity than male students. 6. The sixth grade students valued “support of reference groups” more importantly than the fifth grade students. 7. Elementary school students scored higher points on the whole measurement of human relationship. 8. Female students’ human relationship was better than male students’. 9. The fifth grade students’ relationship with family was better than the sixth grade students’. 10. The general internet users’ relationship with family was better than the high-risk group’s. 11. The lower the tendency toward conformity was, the higher the tendency toward internet addiction was. 12. The higher the tendency toward internet addiction was, the worse human relationship was. 13. The higher the tendency toward conformity was, the better human relationship was. 14. Internet addiction and conformity could be used together to predict human relationship. Finally, based on the conclusions, some suggestions for parents, teachers, and future research were proposed.
