Furthermore, this study aimed to analyze the differences of time management and teaching effectiveness according to music teachers’ personal variables and school environmental variables. Finally, it tried to explore the correlations between music teachers’ management and teaching effectiveness. Questionnaire composed of questions related to the circumstance of music teachers’ time management and teaching effectiveness was employed in this study. Two hundred and ten music teachers serving at public elementary schools in Tainan City and County participated in this study. Data were analyzed by using statistical analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple stepwise regressions. The findings of this study were as follow: 1. The current situations of time management and teaching effectiveness of music teachers in elementary schools were all above average. 2. Among the personal variables, there was significant difference in time management between teachers’ majors in colleges. It was found that teachers who majored in music had better performance. 3. There were significant differences in teaching effectiveness among the personal variables such as teacher’s position, teaching experience as music ensemble directors, majors in colleges, and teaching seniority. Music teachers have better performance in “directing music ensemble and administration”, so do in “selecting and planning of teaching material.” Those music teachers who have teaching experience more than 11 years and less than 20 years have better performance in “directing music ensemble and administration.” 4. In the school environment variables, there is significant difference due to “the scale of the school.” Those music teachers who teaching in schools which have more than 36 classes have better performance in “the selection and the planning of teaching material.” 5. Significant differences are found in the correlations between time management and teaching effectiveness of the music teachers in elementary schools in Tainan City and County. The time management of music teachers in elementary school in Tainan City and County is as well as the predictability of the teaching effectiveness. According to the investigation and the conclusion of this study, findings and suggestions offer references to the education administration departments, schools, music teachers, and further studies.
