The results of the research will be provided to police force for policy-making reference and for future research. This research adopted survey method to investigate the opinion of all 144 SWAT members. A questionnaire designed by the researcher, entitled “Questionnaire of leadership and job involvement of policeman“ was used to collect data. SPSS was used to analyze data collected. There are six major results in this research: 1. According to the analysis of SWAT with different variance of background, the perceived leadership reached the level of middle and above, among which “leadership structure” score the highest. 2. For perceived leadership, SWAT members in northern Taiwan scored significantly higher than those in southern Taiwan. 3. According to the analysis of SWAT with different variance of background, the situation of job involvement reached the level of middle and above, among which “devote to the job” score the highest. 4. For the situation of job involvement, SWAT members over 41 years of age scored significantly higher than those who at the age of 20 to 30 and 31 to 40. 5. The interrelationship of perceived leadership and their job involvement of SWAT members shown positive correlation at the level of middle and below. 6. The perceived leadership has low level of influence on job involvement of SWAT members. The accumulation of explanation is very low.
