Effect of Relative Voltage on Removal of Residual Chlorine in Water with the Chitosan Membrane

碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 化學系 === 96 === Chitosan is a product by deacetylating the Chitin. According to the evidence, Chitosan can adsorb the heavy metal ion and residual chlorine in the water by its amino group (-NH2). According to the evidence, Chitosan can adsorb the heavy metal ion and residual chlorine in the water by its amino group (-NH2). The study translates the Chitosan to the transparent and flexible membrane to adsorb the residual chlorine in water. I compare it with the granulated Chitosan and detect by relative voltage method. When the concentration of NaClO is 10mg/L, pH=3.15,the temperature is 30℃ and the flow rate is 1.36ml/min, Chitosan has the best adsorption effect. If we combine two Chitosan adsorption tanks, to elongate the duration of water in adsorption tanks, the effect of adsorption will increase emphatically. In comparison with the granulated Chitosan, Chitosan membrane has bigger porosity and swelling ratio, so it has more contact area with the residual chlorine in water and it has better adsorption. Finally, I apply the optimum condition to treating the tap-water. In order to confirm the accuracy of the experiment, I add sodium hypochlorite to the tap-water (5 mg/L and 10 mg/L separately), and its additive recovery ratio is 88.7% and 110.5%. This proves that this experiment is not disturbed and has accuracy. Thomas Ching-Cherng Yang 楊慶成 學位論文 ; thesis 66 zh-TW
