Total 57 schools and 1678 sixth grade students were randomly drawn from public elementary school according to the location of schools. Based on two dimentional taxonomy table, the suggestions of 10 experts, and two pre-tests, the “Biotechnology Concept Knowledge assessment tool was developed which contains 24 test items. According to the analysis of the reliability, the Cronbach value is 0.812 and the split-half reliability is 0.809. 1. The results of sixth grade students’ Biotechology concept knowledge were as follows: (1) Students in the eastern zone of Taiwan were significantly better than other zone of students. (2) No significantly difference was shown between the different sizes of school and gender. 2.
