碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 96 === The purpose of this research was to develope a tool for assessing sixth grade elementary school students on the Biotechnology Concept Knowledge and to construct the norm of Biotechnology Concept Knowledge for all the sixth grade students in Taiwan. Total 57 schools and 1678 sixth grade students were randomly drawn from public elementary school according to the location of schools. Based on two dimentional taxonomy table, the suggestions of 10 experts, and two pre-tests, the “Biotechnology Concept Knowledge assessment tool was developed which contains 24 test items. According to the analysis of the reliability, the Cronbach value is 0.812 and the split-half reliability is 0.809. 1. The results of sixth grade students’ Biotechology concept knowledge were as follows: （1） Students in the eastern zone of Taiwan were significantly better than other zone of students. （2） No significantly difference was shown between the different sizes of school and gender. 2. According to the test established a national percentile ranks, which was fit for sixth grade elementary school students,and gender groups percentile ranks.
