Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 96 === This study focuses on the intention factors of elementary school students’ attitudes toward computer. It measures students’ attitude towards the internet and compares students’ background, internet learning experience, family, and schooling related to their attitudes.
This study samples public school students in Kaohsiung County. 3206 out of 3287 disseminated questionnaires were analyzed. The results show as followed:
The four factors that constitute this study include operating skills, internet knowledge, user attitude, and learning effectiveness. The Cronbach α value is . 926.
From person aspect, male and female students showed not difference in the internet attitudes. 6th graders behave more active than the 5th graders.
The more time students spent learning and surfing on internet, the better learning attitudes they possesed.
For students who owned internet accessible computers at home or books related to computers are more likely encouraged by their parents to use the internet. Their internet attitude is above average.
There is no distinct difference between classrooms that have on-line accessible computers and those that do not. The computer facilities in city schools show better than rural schools. But rural schools are better than suburban schools. Music and art oriented special classes are better than average classes.
According to the investigation findings, the major purpose of students using the internet is to play on-line games. The second one is to browse interesting materials. Students rarely use the teaching software.
Students’ attitudes toward the internet range from “agree” to “highly agree.” This shows positive internet attitudes.
According to the purpose of this study and conclusion, researcher four suggestions for further studies:
1.Promote students’ basic skills in the study of internet knowledge and build positive attitudes.
2.Improve computer facilities on both at school and home.
3.Restructure educational source distributions and improve students’ knowledge on the internet.
4.Improve teaching software and raise students’ learning interests and knowledge in computers.
