| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 性別教育研究所 === 96 === In this study, the oral historical description method is used. Through an oral description of life story by Mrs. Ko- Tsai A-lee, the impact and influence made by the social structure behind white terror has been seized; meanwhile, assisted with reference documents, the difficult-to-be-described life story under white terror has been understood and the tragedy of that era of female victim has been analyzed too. In this study, political problem is seen through the female’s angle；female’s life history under white political terror is recorded.Meanwhile, the tough life power of female’s family member and her family is highlighted too.Furthermore, under the white terror, the adaptation history of wife’s role and mother’s role played by Mrs. Ko- Tsai A-lee is also investigated. In her young age, Mrs. Ko- Tsai A -lee was envied by many people and her love and marriage with Mr. Ko Ki-hua in the first five years was a happy life; but the white terror and political persecution has ruined her entire dream. When children asked for father’s love, she had to cheat them that “father is in USA” to create father’s ideal image in children’s mind. When her family was surrounded by so many special agents, Mrs. Ko- Tsai A-lee had to defend her family to keep her family away from the political turbulence; she used mother’s love to warm the family, but when children had grown to the age of junior high school and wanted the truth, she had to defend father’s dignity in children’s mind. However, when Mrs. Ko- Tsai A-lee had seen her husband’s sentence changed from 12 years in jail to life sentence, but her husband still could not come back, she had made a decision to go singly to make a petition to Garrison General Headquarters. Later on, Mr. Ko Ki-hua was released from the jail and still made his resistance to the Kuomintang (KMT) regime. Therefore, Mrs. Ko- Tsai A-lee. had to struggle between the hope of a stable family life and the worry about her husband’s getting caught to jail again due to his strong spirit of persistent resistance to KMT’s regime. Now, Mr. Ko Ki-hua passed away from us, Mrs. Ko- Tsa A-lee who has a sincere belief on God has changed her missing of her husband into a strong spirit to stand up again in front of the eyes of the public’s respect to teacher Ko Ki-hua.Obviously, the political ideal has ignited Mrs. Ko- Tsai A-lee.’s potential.
