In this study, the mechanism design for Four-Wheel-Steering system was designed. The rack-and-pinion mechanism for Watt-II six bar linkage was selected.
The input output displacement equations were derived to adjust the objective function. The 4WS steer principle and steering geometry was applied to find the precision
points by Chebyshev polynomial. Then, the dimensions of Watt-Ⅱ six-bar linkage accounting for the requirements and constraints were found out by the real-parameter
genetic algorithm and the optimization methods proposed in this part.
According to the results of this study result, more precise points were got and the radius of turning was decreased, and the errors are all still accepted.
