Summary: | 碩士 === 國立宜蘭大學 === 自然資源學系碩士班 === 96 === As a result of forest resources being reduced with time in countries all over the world, the forest plantation management becomes expanded and intensive day by day, and forest managers would pay more attention to forest tending. This study applied the response surface design to investigate the response of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium on the growth of naturally regenerated chamaecyparis stand in Chi-lan-shan, and to investigate the response of thinning, pruning and fertilizing on the growth of Calocedrus formosana stand in Forest Station of National ILan University. The naturally regenerated chamaecyparis stand result indicated that both nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers have increased chamaecyparis growth. Within the applied dosage range of this experiment, nitrogen fertilizer has curve effect, phosphorus fertilizer has linear effect, the interactive effect of nitrogen and phosphorus is positive, and the interactive effect of potassium and phosphorus fertilize is negative. The Calocedrus formosana stand result indicated that the interactive effect of thinning and fertilizing is negative. Therefore, heavy thinning would not be fitted with heavy fertilizing. Pruning has curve effect, so pruning height to two segments of timber (390cm) would be better than to one segment of timber (210cm).
