碩士 === 國立花蓮教育大學 === 鄉土文化研究所 === 96 === The Research of Hualien Old Brewery Creative and Cultural Park Breeding Process Abstract “Reusing of lost space” and “cultural and creative industries” are both the promotive policies of government. Concerned to these policies, Hualien old brewery creative and cultural park, one of our researching objects, is located in the Hualien down town which is planned to transfer into a creative and cultural park. The theme of this research “The hatching process of Hualien old brewery creative and cultural park” analyzed its incubation according to relative theories of reusing of lost space and cultural and creative industries and the record of Hualien city space developing track. On the rail of Hualien development, the function of being a factory have been made itself quite unfamiliar and kept distance form Hualien citizen to observe Hualien old brewery whenever during its operation or the idle period. Even it’s located in the city center all the time. But this situation is about to change. However, this transformation is not only about the changing of the brewery but also the developing to Hualien city, even the whole Hualien County. The cultural and creative park is a shifting to an urban, a future to the Hualien area. The main power of keeping the continuity of this park is native culture and local industry. Also this will be the motive operation of “industrialize culture and culturalize industry.” In order to deal with industrial transformation, the government set the goal “Challenging 2008: the important developing plans” at 2002. In this project, Hualien old brewery will be one of the five creative and cultural parks for bourgeoning cultural and creative industry. Therefore, this space will change form an isolated factory to a public area for the citizen. The purpose and the future development of Hualien old brewery creative and cultural park are based on culture to improve the space and thrive the industry. The prospective futurity of this creative park also will be the part of this research. Further more, the multiple changing of urban space and industries in Haulien is anticipated as the project carry on.
