The results of the research were: 1.Two most prevailing model types of Physic and Biology units were object model and event model. However, the most prevailing model types in Chemistry units were event model and object models, while they were object model and process model in Geosciences units. 2.Verbal and visual model representations were most frequently used in Physic, Chemistry and Geosciences units of textbook, while the order became visual and verbal representation in Biology units. Concrete representation was the third frequently used model representation in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, while mathematical representation was the third in Geosciences. 3.In Physic and Chemistry units, the hybrid model representation (two mixed together) was more popular than the single representation in 3rd and 4th grade, but single model representation was more popular than the hybrid representation in 5th and 6th grades. In Biology units, there were more single than hybrid representation in 3rd and 4th grade, while there were more hybrid than single representation in the units of 5th and 6th grade. In Geosciences units, there were more hybrid than single model representation from 3rd to 6th grades. 許銘津 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW |

碩士 === 國立花蓮教育大學 === 科學教育研究所 === 96 === This research analyzed the classification of models and their representation regarding to physic, chemistry, biology and geosciences units in elementary science textbook. The results of the research were:
1.Two most prevailing model types of Physic and Biology units were object model and event model. However, the most prevailing model types in Chemistry units were event model and object models, while they were object model and process model in Geosciences units.
2.Verbal and visual model representations were most frequently used in Physic, Chemistry and Geosciences units of textbook, while the order became visual and verbal representation in Biology units.
