The researcher adopted an action research method to perform the research on students of the first grade at the elementary school that the researcher teaches. A total of 12 times of writing teaching was conducted on children’s poems, essays, application articles, and fairy tales in the Mandarin Course. Detailed records and reflections were made on the entire practice course. The findings show that: 1. Planning of children drama activities shall be made in accordance with writing education to design courses and activities that interest students. 2. Introduction of children drama activities shall enable lower grade students to have positive attitude, effectively enhance the willingness of students to write and increase their confidence in writing. 3. Despite different aspects of application of children drama activities in various writing styles, they are the same in enlightening students in writing. 4. Children drama activities enrich writing contents of students, enhance their writing ability and increase the length of essays. 5. With appropriate guidance, writing education can be conducted in lower grades of elementary schools. 6. Basic knowledge of children drama activities will benefit teachers in achieving their teaching goals. 7. Supports on writing education from parents will have positive influences on learning in writing for students. 8. By collaboration with other teachers in research activities, teachers can improve their teaching quality effectively. Based on the above-mentioned findings, the researcher offers suggestions as a reference for teachers who wish to teach writing education and for those who intend to carry out relevant researches.
