Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 教育心理與諮商學系碩士班 === 96 === ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship among interpersonal stress, self stress, solitude preference, solitude experiences and depressive tendency of college students. The subjects of this study were freshmen to junior students drawn from Hsinchu University of Education, Chiao Tung University, Tsing Hua University, Chung Hua University, and Hsuan Chuang University. The measurement applied in this study was Life Questionnaire for College Students including Personal Basic Information, Life Stress Scale, Solitude Preference Scale, Solitude Experience Scale, and Beck Depression Inventory-Second Edition, 379 valid questionnaires were collected. The obtained data were conducted by descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, canonical correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The results of this study are: (一)The college students not only experiencing self stress events more often, but bothering self stress higher. (二)The solitude preference for college students is median, and they have more positive solitude experiences. (三)Most college students have normal range of depression tendency, but 36.7% college students are depressive, and females have higher depression. (四)There are not significant grade differences on objective and subjective interpersonal stress, objective and subjective self stress, solitude preference, solitude experiences, and depression tendency. There are significant sex differences on objective and subjective interpersonal stress, solitude preference, and depression tendency. There are significant college differences on subjective interpersonal stress, solitude preference, and depression tendency. (五)When the college students’ objective and subjective self stress, and objective and subjective interpersonal stress are higher, then the cognitive-affective and somatic depression are more serious. When the college students’ negative affection in solitude and solitude preference are higher, and thinking and solving problems is lower, then the cognitive-affective and somatic depression are more serious. (六)Subjective self stress, subjective interpersonal stress, and negative affection in solitude are all the major predictor on depressive tendency. According to the result, the suggestions for school authorities and future studies were offered.
