Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處教育行政碩士專班 === 96 === The main purpose of this study was to understand the self-efficacy of elementary school teachers who carried out the program of Health Promoting School (HPS) in five counties and cities of central Taiwan. Also, it probed into the different self-efficacy of HPS teachers with different personal background variables and environment variables. The study was conducted by questionnaire and expert validity as well. The researcher did the self-efficacy questionnaire according to literal reviews and expert validity . With 494 valid sample data , the research subjects were public elementary school teachers who took part in HPS program in the school year of 2006 by way of poll. After collecting questionnaire data, the researcher inquired through the statistic methods such as descriptive statistics, independent sample t , and one-way ANOVA. According to the result, this study acquired the following conclusion. 1. The rankings in self-efficacy of HPS teachers were school material environment, health service, school spirit environment, health education curriculum and activities, school sanitation policy, and community relationship. 2. On the whole, teachers had better self-efficacy to the routines such as material environment, health service, spirit environment, health education curriculum and activities. However, teachers had worse self-efficacy to school sanitation policy and community relationship. 3. The self-efficacy of HPS teachers showed obvious difference on ages, teaching years, participation hours of relative workshop, and consciousness of having difficulty in carrying out HPS program. 4. The self-efficacy of HPS teachers showed obvious difference on school scale and principal’s support. 5. Those who were conscious of having difficulty in carrying out HPS program felt stressed about the overload of work. Moreover, the shortage of manpower and budget were the secondary difficulty.
